If you are in North America it’s either a Redbud
Cercis Americana
It’s flowers are pink-magenta color and bloom in early spring with the tulips and daffodils it’s flowers are shaped like tiny sweet pea blooms. It’s pods are short and cigar shaped.
There are other species of redbuds out there too from China.
or a species of Catalpa. This species is altogether bigger and has snapdragon like flowers in a pale purple-blue with yellow throats and spots. It’s pods are longer.
