I would also say about a year, because you want to be able to get the date and time you prefer, and with such a large number of guests, your first and second choice of location may get booked up quickly for another wedding or other event. The wedding party size isn’t too unusual, though, and that seems very manageable. I think if you book your location a year in advance and start thinking about catering and entertainment around that same time, the rest of the planning can happen about 6 months before. Best advice I can give from personal experience: get your dress first…your dress often determines many other aspects of the wedding, like decor, cake style, even the setting! Obviously you wouldn’t want to wear a knee-length, beachy dress if you’re getting married in a cathedral! Good luck & have fun with it! =)
