If you don’t have a bridal party, should your female family/friends still throw a shower?
I was just curious as to what everyone thinks about the relationship between a bridal party and bridal showers? I dont have a bridal party…but part of me would love a shower, just to get all the female parts of my family together to talk about marriage and the wedding, etc. I would never ASK for one, ’cause that’s tacky. But is it bad to want one? 
PS- I could care less about presents.
There’s nothing wrong in wanting a shower, and there’s also nothing wrong in wanting the gifts. Being given a shower and gifts is actually a wonderful feeling. I have participated in many showers in my time and I loved my own–including the presents! In our case, we didn’t have a bridal party, and it was a wonderful and very generous surprise, but my husband’s 3 aunts organized and threw me my shower. Anyone at all who wishes to host one for you can do so.
