Perfect Charm
In your opinion where is the perfect British seaside village?
I’m looking for a quaint small friendly village by the sea, charm, character, beauty (but not overrun by tourists) no more than 30mins away from a major town. sandy beach, poss a port. but most important a real sense of community spirit..
any ideas?

Arnside, Morecambe Bay. Nearest major town: Lancaster. It has all the things you want, except that the sand is perhaps a bit estuary-muddy.
