What can i do to entertain both boys and girls at a backyard party?
Ok i need opinions on a backyard party for a 15 year old girl its a boy girl party and i need to now what i can do at my party to entertain both the boys and girls… please an thank you!
First of all, set up a good sound system, and make sure to have plenty of the music they like on hand.
If it’s night, make it a techno (or pop or whatever) dance party with strobe lights or black lights. When I was 15, I had much more fun dancing in a strobe light than in a well lit place because there was more mystery to my dance moves, and strobe lights help get kids dancing because it gives them something else to focus on other than the dancing. It will help them come out of their shells. That’s if it’s at night.
Another fun thing to do would be the limbo or just playing Chinese jump rope (like the limbo, but you go over not under, and you use a string of rubber bands, not a pole).
You could have sugar cookies out that everybody could decorate.
If you could get one of those backyard fire pits (they’re metal stoves for open fires), you could have a fire and roast marsh mallows.
If you have a tree, you could hang a climbing rope or a swing from it. Just because they’re almost grown up doesn’t mean they don’t like to swing and climb.
If you have a trampoline, put it out. Even a small one can make fun.
You could have a projector play a movie on the side of your house.
Have masks and costumes available.
Have a vegetable man contest. Put out a bunch of fruits and vegetables and have them make a person out of it. You would want to give them more definite rules and toothpicks or hummus and a paper plate, depending on what you’re going for.
Play 500 (you know with a foot ball. There’s a thrower and a bunch of would be catchers. The thrower throws, and while the ball’s in the air he/she calls out the number of points or “jackpot” or “bankrupt,” and whoever catches it gets that many points. Whoever gets 500 first gets to be the next thrower.)
Play touch foot ball (tackle would not be appropriate for all the kids).
Do a scavenger hunt with a sweet prize at the end.
Etc., etc.
There’s probably some new hip thing they like to do, too. Run some ideas by your son to see if that helps him think of something he’d like to do.
