What color shirt should my prom date wear with my blue dress?
I got a turquoise blue dress with silver beading for prom. My date picked out an all black tux with a silver vest and tie. But neither of us can figure out if he should have a black shirt or a white shirt. What do you think?
Silver is a lighter color, and a white shirt won’t accentuate it very well. Black will make the silver stand out, and will make your dress stand out more. Also, white tends to make people look larger than they are, which is not good for anyone that isn’t a twig, or nearly a twig, whereas black will be more slimming. Also, he will probably get hot and want to take his jacket off. If he does, than black is a better choice.
